Holy Crap !!! One Year Later, Tell me what's next

by Brent VanderMeide 19. June 2009 08:14

WTF, Right?

So.......... Nearly one year later I decide to continue the posting.  Well I'm here to stay now, regardless of project statuses.  Although some people may not be so thrilled to hear that.  Remember Code Impressions wants to turn its head towards serving the .NET community so this is the effort towards that.

Tech Articles

In my last post I mentioned that I wanted to discuss other things after completing the Scope tech articles.  I don't recall if I posted in here a link to the 1st of the 3 articles around this topic, but here it is http://blogs.codeimpressions.com/techarticles/post/2008/06/Creating-a-generics-based-scope-class.aspx.  The other two are underway this week.

A Vote is in Order

I want to start a vote on how many people want to know more about any of the following.  This will help drive the topic of my next tech article.

  1. SOA & Related Design Patterns
  2. Component Orientation vs. Object Orientation
  3. Implementing Licensing (Providers, Encryption, and Obfuscation)
  4. A way to Tie the Knot between Server Controls & MVC in ASP.NET
  5. Joyful Experiences with Silverlight Require Anger Management
  6. ASP.NET Bindable Templatable Custom Server Controls
  7. How-To Transfer Scope with WCF Calls
  8. The awesome benefits of a 64-bit world

Please post a comment to this blog entry and I will tally them all up.

Cheers!

Holy Crap  One Year Later Tell me whats next  , aroused my curiosity. I have  set out to develop utilizing Silverlight but  am realising it is a big learning curve.  My earlier experience is with php, mysql, most linux based tools and flash. The ambition of utilising Silverlight to get a good page structure that functions rapidly in all the established web browsers, IE, Firefox, Safari and Google Chrome is a great headache which is taking me umpteen hours to master.  Absorbing to study your views and the remarks in your web site on Silverlight.  I find the tutorial sites and Microsofts offering are rigid and address the identical items, discussion in blogs frequently references factual ways to resolve issues which leads me through the learning curve more quickly.  Thank you for the article, it has helped in a small way to get me through the migration.
